Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
mingrammer ("we," "us," or "our") built Counto ("the App") to be a private, offline-first counter. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles, where it is stored, and the limited cases in which any information leaves your device.
Counto has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Everything you create in Counto is written to a database on your device and never leaves it unless you explicitly choose to back up or share it.

The widget snapshot is stored in a shared container on your device that only Counto and its own widget extension can read.
3. Optional iCloud Backup
Counto Pro can back up your data to your own iCloud Drive container. When you use this feature:
- The backup is stored in your personal Apple account, not on our servers.
- We cannot access, read, or recover your backup.
- Deleting the backup from within the App, or from iCloud settings, removes it.
If you never enable backup, no copy of your data leaves the device.
4. Purchases
Counto Pro is sold as an in-app purchase. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see or store your payment details.
To validate purchases and restore them across your devices, the App uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives:
- A randomly generated, pseudonymous app user ID (not linked to your name or email)
- The purchase receipt issued by Apple, and subscription status
- Basic device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, country)
RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf to determine whether Pro features should be unlocked. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
5. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No reminder content is transmitted anywhere, and we do not operate a push notification server.
6. Photos
When you save or share an achievement card, the App asks for permission to write the image to your photo library. Counto does not read, browse, or upload your existing photos. A shared image goes only to the destination you pick in the iOS share sheet.
7. Data We Do Not Collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account
- No precise or approximate location
- No contacts, calendars, health data, or photo library contents
- No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
8. Children's Privacy
Counto is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the App collects no personal information from any user, no such data can be gathered inadvertently.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep the App installed.
- Delete individual data: Remove goals or entries inside the App.
- Delete everything: Uninstall the App. iOS removes its local database and shared container.
- Delete a backup: Remove it from the App's backup screen, or from iCloud storage settings.
- Purchase records: Held by Apple and RevenueCat as required for receipt validation, tax, and accounting purposes.
10. Security
Data stored by Counto is protected by iOS file-system encryption and app sandboxing. Communication with RevenueCat uses HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but because the App holds no personal identifiers, the impact of any compromise is minimal.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

- We do not sell or share personal information.
